I think LSU will be able to maintain their level of recruiting better than Tennessee was able to

No offense meant.

Agree, but it was time. Les had his do over and he did nothing to change.

Yea but one wrong hire could lead to another wrong hire and viola 6/7 lost years have passed. Every big 6 sec school can recruit fine

We wrote the best selling book on this.

Tennessee's issue was waiting too long to fire Fulmer.

Stones - although LSU fans will not agree with you, your post along with others in this thread are spot on. Having lived thru the Coach Hallman years, the next decision at LSU will be BIG

Yeah, Tennessee has much more history than LSU... Besides Saban and Miles who else has won big at LSU?

True historically Tennessee is a superior program and dominates the head to head.

UT, like Texas with Mack Brown, made the move AFTER recruiting had started trending downward. That was their calling card, as it has been with Miles. Whoever takes over here is going to have a better starting point.

yeah but w/ Texas, they were also hurt by in-state competitors getting good (led by players Mack Brown didn't recruit) and A&M going to the SEC. LSU has no in state competition and a great talent pool.

Any good coach could see what Saban was quickly able to achieve when he came to LSU, and figure that they could do the same, or close to it
