For Auburn it would be Kamryn Pettway. He didn't have the best game against LSU, but he is a beast with his size and strength. Who would it be for your team?

For A&M, while we didn't see Trayveon Williams dominating like he has (for reference, Trey Williams was a 5-star back from 2012-2014, but never had games like Trayveon Williams has), I'd say starting LG Colton Prater is the surprising breakout player, starting as a true freshman.

If we're going OL then I say McCoy over Prater.

Not sure if he rates the surprising moniker, but Arden Key is in beast mode this year. Top sack guy in the nation thru week 4. Only 1 of his 6.5 sacks was against Jacksonville State. The rest were against P5 teams.

Prater has been more of a surprise than McCoy. Anyone who has watched the team could see that McCoy dwarfs Mike Matthews and would be an instant upgrade.

For Auburn, I'd also say Deshaun Davis. Dude came out of nowhere. He is one of the top linebackers in the SEC. It's so refreshing to finally have a backer that wants to knock someone's head off again. Just ask LF7 the difference between playing against him and Kris Frost.

For Alabama, I'd say D. Harris. He didn't look even remotely good last year, which is why I think Bo got so much hype as they savior to the run game in the offseason. But Harris has really impressed me on his cutbacks and his vision.

Haven't heard his status since going out last Saturday, but hopefully he's 100% when we hit the meat of the schedule.

Toss-up between Drew Lock and J'Mon Moore. We were expecting this type of production from lock from the beginning.

Moore was more of a "?" than anything. After watching the first couple of games, I wondered how he was our #1 receiver. The guy doesn't have the best hands. However, the last couple of games showed me what the dude was capable of. When he catches the ball, he is frickin explosive.

For Bama has to be Hurts. No one thought that Saban would start a true freshman QB. He did and won the team over and has been really good so far.

I think a lot of people that paid any attention to Bama in the spring thought DH would be the starter.

I'm more shocked that Scarborough hasn't played better.

Next would be either Emmons, Jacobs, or Williams.

I've always thought Davis would be good, but I agree that he is a surprise.

I expected D. Harris to be good.

I guess I'll have to say the true frosh QB we have, although he's still not connecting downfield very well. But, Hurts has been great, for a freshman at that position.

And while I knew he had the talent, I didn't think AJ Brown would get this much playing time so early.
