Surprised ESPN already eliminated Auburn from playoff contention?

I know they've looked pretty bad, but eliminating an SEC West team with only one loss seems premature. You never know in that division.

A bowl maybe out of the equation soon enough. AU is a 4-5 win team currently.

Just seemed odd, especially for a team predicted to win SEC. They don't usually eliminate until there is no mathematical possibility.

Auburn reminds me of LSU last year. LSU got their arse handed to them by MsSt and Auburn and looked really bad against Wisconsin. They were basically eliminated from contention. Yet LSU was one late game collapse from beating Bama and if they win that game who knows what would have happened. They still beat A&M and Ole Miss with terrible QB play and while our defense was #1 in the SEC last year you wouldn't have known it after the first few games. Keep your head up Aubbie

I don't think they eliminated Miss. State yet--probably because a 2 point loss to LSU may turn out to be a quality loss.

They've only lost one but they've looked like shite in three.

I know, my point was that LSU was the same last year. And if we don't lose to Alabama late like we did, you think we come out flat against Arkansas with a chance to go to the SEC championship? I think we win that game. And we had 2 losses at this point last year. They only have 1 so far. I'm just saying anything can happen.

AU showed their vagina to a national television audience. Of course they are eliminated.

If Auburn were good enough to be considered for playoff contention then they wouldn't already be making a QB change after only 1 loss. No QB or running game and their defense is garbage.

Auburn out but Kentucky is still in. Seems a little fishy to me too.

Bama changed their starting QB last week.

Bama had a QB controversy all off-season. Auburn has been all in on Jeremy Johnson the entire off-season.

it was a change explained by NS to throw ole miss off with the read option. It back fired so Coker was put back in. Not the same apple to apple as the AU situation.
