Not many choices:

South Carolina - 5-2, has a chance to possibly finish 8-4. 9-3 is a stretch with Georgia and Clemson on the schedule (but they are rivalry games).

A&M - 5-2, but can maybe go 3-2, 4-1 the rest of the way. 5-0 would be hard but not impossible - they have talent.

LSU - 5-2 - would not be surprised to see them finish 4-1 . . . or 2-3.

Kentucky - 5-1 - 1 point loss to Florida keeps them from being undefeated but have had a lot of close games. Finishing 3-3 or 4-2 is realistic.

What say you Rant?

Kentucky being 5-1 and the only real remaining competitor with UGA for the East is surprising. If they can make it past MSU this weekend, there's a good chance that we have a legitimate "winner takes the division" game in late November between UGA and UK.

Never thought I'd see the day

Not trying to be a homer, but seeing as how we were pegged as a 3-9 team at the beginning of the season and we could realistically go 8-4 we've surprised a bunch.

Was talking to a friend about this last night. This is a long shot, but 1/2 way thru the season, this is still possible.

I can't believe Rumlin is actually doing a nice job coaching up the ags this season. I would imagine most ags anticipated 4-8 after that UCLA debacle

Mississippi State. They destroyed the best team in the sec if bama seceded from the Union.

Uga. Not even the homerest homer uga fans predicted this kind of domination.

Kentucky because The Cats should be undefeated right now. They beat Florida in every way except on the score board. It was beautiful watching that game and seeing all those U.K. fans fired up and loving them some football.

I think most people expected Kentucky and South Carolina to be a bit better. Maybe a tad better than expected.

The one that everyone is just taking for granted now is Georgia. Nobody expected them to be like this this season, even Georgia people.

The record does not surprise me, but the elite defense is a year ahead of where I expected it to be. The blowouts surprise me a bit. That being said I expected UGA to put a beat down on Notre Dame, but I guess the Domers have surprised me too.

I knew Georgia would have a good season. Historically in our conference it's on par for second year coaches to do well at the "big six" schools. Look at Saban in 2001 at LSU, Saban in 2008 at Bama, Mark Richt in his second year at UGA, Gene Chizik in 2010 at Auburn, Urban in his second year at UF,....,,..etc.... they'd probably a few more I'm forgetting. But again, I knew Georgia would be very good this year.

Yeah, I think most expected Georgia to be pretty good. Not really a surprise team.

I don't think anyone expected Georgia to be #1/#2 in every statistical category in the SEC and favored to win out and go 12-0 through 7 weeks good.
