I'm not sure why the rest of the SEC other than LSU and Bama would want A&M to keep Sumlin. He's 23-10 against them.

AtM doesnt have the money to pay for that buyout so he will continue to be the coach

He hasn't built up enough equity for me to think that after one or two games... he's finally figured out how to not collapse, under-perform, and look like a deer in the headlights on the way to getting blown out.

Can he beat Ole Miss and State? He's lost his last three vs Ole Miss and two of the last three against Mississippi State. He's never beaten Auburn at Kyle Field. He's never beaten LSU.

He has a chance for me to think he's turned it around, but beating Arkansas in OT, beating a .500 SEC East team, and losing to Bama doesn't change anything. That's been his MO in the post-Manziel era. Nothing has changed so far. Beat Auburn, beat Ole Miss, beat State and beat LSU. Then we can talk.

Why doesn't anybody ever mention South Carolina when they talk about our wins? Florida has the name recognition but SC is clearly our best win so far.

Why not keep him?

He has a top 5 recruiting class coming in along with almost every starter back for next year. It would be foolish to start over.

Okay. He's beaten USC every time he's coached against them as well. That doesn't show me he's overcome what's made him fail and made me believe he's never going to be a good coach. He has the chance to prove me wrong in his next 4 SEC games. South Carolina showed me nothing.

Sumlin has done good since that first game and they look tough.

B/c it doesn't fit their narrative. They are going to look for a way to excuse away anything good that happens. A&M could win out and they would simply say the SEC sucks this year so it doesn't count.

Sumlin has more home losses than Franchione, Sherman, Sherrill, and will have more than Slocum after this year.

He has never had fewer than 2 home losses in a season.

If A&M wins out, Sumlin would be the first coach since Slocum in 1998 to go 7-1 in conference.

Not happening though.

Looks like the AA Aggies squaring off with the Caucasian Aggies online over keeping their black head coach?

and Sumlin has been HC longer than Fran and Sherman and did not get to have the auto wins from that shitty SWC (your words when anyone says nice things about RC) like Jackie and RC. We went over this. But hey, keep being intellectually dishonest as frick if it makes you feel smarter than everyone else.

Fran had 9 home losses after 5 years. Sumlin had that many in 4.

The highest ranked team Sumlin beat at home was #9 Tennessee in 2016.

3 home wins over ranked opponents
