I have a little side biz making collegiate themed products we sell in campus bookstores, I've always said one thing I love about the collegiate market is the team loyalty. If you're a Bama fan nothing in the world will make you cheer for Tennessee, or LSU, or Nebraska. The only thing that will ever make a person cheer for another team is if your kid or a family member gets a scholarship to play there.

As evidenced by theads on TD lately, we've been flipping fans quite a bit by signing up kids from families loyal to other SEC teams. Come on up to the hill, take your shoes off, stay awhile, have some catfish.

Nebraska is a my second favorite team.

And the catfish is better in the Deep South.

I've always wondered why you're so bent on NWA and Arkansas.

I've left it alone til now. I need to know how you got so screwed over in Fayetteville.

Not so fast my friend. Every little town in Arkansas has a catfish restaurant and most do it very well. Arkansas also has one of the largest catfish industries in the country. Yes, I know Alabama is rank #2 on this list just behind Mississippi.

Arkansas is a Southern state so I doubt you will find the catfish "better" just a little deeper South.

You will be hard pressed to find a better catfish house than Jerry's in Florence, Mississippi.

This is like arguing over who has the best pork BBQ. I'm sure it's all good.

Well, I think it really depends on where it's being cooked. I'm going to go with anything from North Carolina, when it comes to pork.

I have lived and traveled throughout the South. I have family stretching from Carolina to Arkansas, with all points in between, including Alabama and Tennessee. I have even lived in Louisiana and am a frequent visitor to your fine state.

There's only so much you can do with fried catfish my friend. The best catfish I have had was in Arkansas. That said, it's all good.
