Strongest year overall for SEC baseball?

Just from looking at the polls, and keeping up with them, it seems like the SEC is crazy strong this year! For the most part that is.. This is my first year to really keep up with baseball, so has there ever been a stronger year in the past? Collectively that is.

I thought 2011 was just insane. The SEC East alone fielded three of the final four CWS teams. That is hard to beat.

1997 - 4 teams from the SEC West made it to Omaha (LSU, Miss State, Auburn and Alabama), 2 played for the CWS title.

Kinda agree, really needed to get a win in Oxford this past weekend. Hopefully our team can get on a roll and finish the season strong. We're a really young team this year so the future looks better.

Agreed. 2011 was an insane college baseball year for the SEC. It'll be hard to top that.

Idk about strongest ever but 2011 was very solid, especially in the CWS. UF and USC played in the finals and Vandy was knocked out in the semis by UF. SEC teams in the CWS were undefeated against OOC teams with Vandy getting knocked out UF and USC beat UF in the finals. 7 SEC teams made postseason play. Not to mention Mississippi State was also knocked out by UF in the Supers.

Really like y'alls coach. Seems like a great guy from interviews I've seen. Does this years team have what it takes to make a run in Omaha?
