The proof of the strength of the SEC is in the number of team that can compete for division, conference and national championships in any given year.
The SEC has 8 different teams that have won divisional titles and played in the SECCG in the last 6 years. 5 different teams have won a SEC Title in the last 6 years and 3 different teams have won a BCS title in the last 6 years with a chance to make it 4 if Auburn takes care of business.
Divisional Title winners Since 2005
Alabama 2008, 2009
Arkansas 2006
Auburn 2010
LSU 2005, 2007
Florida 2006, 2008, 2009
Georgia 2005
South Carolina 2010
Tennessee 2007
This is pretty impressive considering most other conferences only have a few good programs that are actually capable of winning their conference. Does any other conference come close to having as much competition for their conference championship? I don't think so...

The SEC out recruits every other conference by a very wide margin.
