Yes it is really early, but even this early SEC Basketball has not had this many teams inside the top 60 in RPI.

Good job to these programs on being smart about scheduling early on.

ESPN RPI

7. Florida
11. Ole Miss
15. Arkansas
29. Kentucky
38. South Carolina
60. Auburn

Warren Nolan RPI

6. Florida
11. Ole Miss
20. South Carolina
24. Arkansas
28. Kentucky
49. Auburn

What's the deal? If it's Johnny, why is he still there?

Winthrop and Ohio are in the top 10 of the RPI as of today.

Still stands...league teams aren't normally this high RPI wise. Teams seemed to have scheduled smarter, better early on.

While I feel like we could be good there's no way in hell we should be #11 in the nation

Until at least 10 games in RPI is an indicator of schedule more than actually how good a team is unless they are really obviously bad.

What this shows me is that the SEC has fared pretty well in their holiday invitationals and tournaments... Advancing early and playing the higher ranked teams in the semis and finals... Good to see.

playing UMASS, ST JOE, and Creighton seems to have made the numbers crunch right. we are still a team that lives and dies by the jumpshot, and that doesn't bode well. However, we have severl who can shoot it, instead of just one like the past 4 years.
