I heard Stidham was deciding between A&M and Auburn but it came down to Sumlin committing to Kellen Mond a recruit. Is there any truth to this?

Personally I have no faith in Sumlin developing a QB.

Sumlin inherited Keenum. Inherited Manziel. Trill, Kyle Allen, Kyler Murray.......no comment.

Trevor Knight was a grad transfer. Hubenak is a backup who reminds me of the other Joeckal. Backup material but not a starter. Same with Starkel.

My point being the Aggies could've really used Stidham.

They could have, but Sumlin is an idiot who promises starting year 1 to all his QBs

According to other Aggie fans, A&M did not want or need him. Glad he is on The Plains though, whatever the real story is.

Sumlin puts himself in this spot more often than not. Promising things he has no business promising guys. See the exodus of QB's following last season.

I think that is the situation sumlin is trying to avoid. Let's see how it works out for him.

I watched Manziel scrimmage as a true freshman. Sumlin deserves tremendous credit for developing him into a Heisman winner.

Hill looked good until he started having to be carried out of bars.

Stidham had a chance to commit to A&M when he came out of HS and didn't.

Sumlin told his two QB commits for this year that he was taking two QB's and he kept his word. Nothing to see here. Move on.

Why would he take a guy who would not accept being a backup after all he went through last yr. Stidham wants a guarunteed starter position.

Not sure, but he left Baylor in July (After being all in after Briles fired in May) b/c he didn't want to be a backup.

Sumlin should commit to some defense.
