I saw that Steve Sarkisian is interviewing for an Admin position at Bama. Do you think Saban is lining up his next OC? Maybe he expects Kiffin to get some HC offers if they keep winning.

Saban's on top of it, as usual.

It's much easier to find Vicodin, oxys, and hydros, in Alabama than LA.

Yep. Bring Sark in early, let him learn the players and the terminology so when Joey Freshwater leaves for wherever, plug and play.

First off, I hope the guy got his life back in order.

But yes, i believe Lane has probably hinted to Saban that he may leave for his own gig soon.

Hell of a hire if reports are true. Certainly a viable option in the future if Kiffin decides to take over at LSU

Yes, the assistant position will be an extended interview to replace Kiffin when he leaves in December.

Where are his kids and ex? I feel bad for the guy. He's lost a lot. I hope for his kids at least that he pulls it together.

It's a genius move. Sark is clearly a home run hire in terms of his ability to coach a pro style offense. His drawback is the obvious alcohol issue. This gives him a one year audition to prove he is sober and to learn Bama's system. Kiffin leaves and then Sark comes in as OC with zero growing pains.

Stuff like this is why Bama is the best.

If Saban were to retire after this year, would you hire Kiffin to replace him? If LSU fires Les after this year, I still don't trust Kiffin and don't want him as the next LSU coach.

Personally I don't trust him too run a program and am not sure he will ever get to a point where I do.

However, some other program may take that risk and be highly rewarded. Just not us.

My 2 top choices are Jimbo Fisher and Tom Herman. There were rumors last year that if Jimbo came back, he would bring Bo Pelini back as DC. I would love to see Aranda stay.

Personally i'd be scared to death to have Lane as a HC. Not saying he doesnt know his stuff, but in my mind he seems like he's always looking to bolt for a better opportunity like he did with Tennessee.
