Statement from Bill Battle, Director of Athletics
After spending all week in negotiations with Coach Gregg Marshall to be the next University of Alabama Basketball Head Coach, President Bonner and myself felt it was in the best interest of the University and the program to stop all negotiations. We feel Coach Marshall is a premiere coach but wasn't a good fit for where we want to head as a basketball program.
We will be continuing our coaching search and confident we will bring in the right coach to lead Alabama basketball to a successful future. Roll Tide to all of our fans.

No shat? Bama pulled out? I'm guessing he gave a crazy number to leave WSU and Bama halted. Surely he's not such a douche he ruined negotiations.
