I think the biggest factor is his experience. The Bama game last year, the LSU game this year. This offense has really been hitting its stride- even with the running game. Dak Prescott can, and will make the throws against Alabama. I'm not saying he's going to throw for 400 yards and 5 td's, but UA will not stifle him. Another reason I feel good about this game is our defense. Henry doesn't scare me. We held Fournette to his second lowest yard total out of our base defensive package. Our db's are good enough to supplement the blitz packages we run. I think we have good damn chance. I don't know why I feel so confident.

Of course Bama probably wins. Everybody just wants MSU to win because maggot Gumps post stupid threads like this.

Dak is easily the best QB we see unless we see the playoffs. I am curious how well your OL holds up against our defensive front. I don't care how good Dak is if he is getting pressured and unable to escape the pocket he will not be as effective. LSU offensive line is apparently not as good as Bama seems to have progressed. They did not start getting dominated in the second half on the DL. It was all game. If our OL has put it together and I don't know that they have I think Bama wins handily. If last week was an anomaly or Bama is still high from last week it could be a long night.

I have a ton of bookmarked L5U threads that say hi.

Also, you sound angry about something.

MSU held Fournett to a "career" day, at the time. 2nd lowest output was 128 more than Bama D allowed. That's like finishing second, in a two-horse race.

Yeah, I'm surprised LF was able to bounce back after that humiliating performance against the Bulldigs this year

Bama has faced 2 true passing teams this year. Just so happens that they (om and aTm) scored the most points on bama all year. Om beat them and had Kyle Allen not thrown 3 pick 6s, aTm could've won that game. On the year, bama facing run first teams has given up 14.2 points/game. Against pass first teams, bama has given up 33 points/game... 30 if you throw out the om fluke pass.

(Didn't factor in any OOC games except Wisconsin)

Last year we could pass, but our offense was based on the run... Not this year. We are a passing team with a mobile qb that can run hurry up, which is what gives you trouble. We'll have 4 to 5 wr's on the field which will force you to take lb's out and replace them with safeties and cb's. We aren't even gonna attempt to run much other than Dak designed runs, option, and Dak scrambling on pass plays. We're gonna bubble screen to force your big dlinemen to run sideline-to-sideline and hopefully tire them.

On defense, we'll bend, but hopefully not break. We've been very successful this year doing this... We're #2 nationally in td's allowed.

I don't know if we win or not, but this is the best we've matched up with you bc of our commitment to pass

Keep laughing peasant. Dak will expose you guys this year before you embarrass the conference again and lose to Ohio State or Oklahoma again. For a third. fricking. Year. Ina row.

aTm is a bad example. We stopped their pass first offense. One of their TD was a punt return.

You really think this with your D averaging giving up 170/game on the ground alone? It may be close game but your D is no where near as good as Bama's. Outside of LSU, your schedule is complete garbage and you are still getting trucked on the ground.

We won't stop Henry. We play our safeties back to prevent big plays. Hopefully we can force fg's instead of td's though which we have done a good job of this year.

We haven't allowed a 4th quarter td all year so our defense isn't garbage

That's true, but aTm threw for 260. The pick 6's were why they didn't score more. If Dak throws ints, we have no shot

Very good analysis, I think State has an excellent shot at beating Bama for the reasons you stated.

If Bama plays even remotely close to the same level as last weekend though Bama wins.

Make a relative argument next time. Bama wins Saturday, after a mighty struggle.
Same as most years. Bama is just way better than MSU. LSU /West division championship game hangover + road game + MSUs best punch = close game. Except for Auburn in 2010 and 2103, SOS,DD.

Yards chew up clock and that wins games; the points will come, baw.

Fwiw, if someone told me I could win a million to pick the score right, I'd say 24-17 bama
