I don't know why, but I have an excellent feeling about this game. State has significant injuries on the offensive line and in the secondary, but I really think they have the best player and best muffin in this game. Also, I think a little bit of a revenge factor will be in play after Bama ended State's playoff hopes and Dak's Heisman hopes last year in Tuscaloosa. At the end of the day, the game was 25-20 and Dak had multiple turnovers in the redzone. Dak has improved significantly and will pick apart Bama's secondary. State has the size up front to slow down Henry and has the athletes to stymie the Tide's mediocre pass attack. State 28-Bama 20. Book it.

Your streak to them is worse than ours. We can only hope, but a loss for Bama doesn't mean much to me if we choke to Bert or Ole Piss.

State shuts down the run and they have a great shot of winning... That being said State's run defense has not been stellar

Didn't you score a TD with like 25 seconds left then just give up?

Your stats have been padded against cupcakes, and you lost to the only good team you've played...as well as lost to A&M.

Now you might be good, but we have nothing to go on. "Dak is awesome he's even better than last year" is fine, but our secondary has improved tremendously from last year, as well as our pass rush.

"State has the size up front to slow down Henry". Okay.

Yeah, someone posted the run game stats earlier and they weren't great. State does give up a decent amount of yardage. However, State's scoring defense has been pretty good throughout the year. Dawgs are only giving up 17.2 a game compared to the Tide's 16.3.

The final score of a game can sometimes be deceptive.

Close, back and forth games can look like blowouts.

Games that weren't competitive at all can look close.

If all you saw was the final score of the Alabama/MSU game last year, you'd think it was a close game.

Anyone who actually watched it saw Alabama control the enter game start to finish and the game was never in doubt in the 4th quarter.

The one thing I took away from Bama game was when lsu lined up in shotgun. Read option worked the only few times they ran it. Think this plays to state perfectly. Just don't how much room Bama will give state.

Yeah, it was a late score, however State had 2 pretty self inflicted turnovers inside the 10 before that. Dak played pretty badly in that game.

The game was 19-13 with 14 minutes left in the 4th. Bama jumped up 19-0 on the strength of 2 idiotic plays by prescott and an idiotic safety by robinson. After State stopped shooting themselves in the foot, they made it a game. This game is at home this year and Prescott is twice the QB he was last year. I feel great about this game going down to the wire at the very least.

I watched and saw you get dominated the entire second half. In fact, if Henry's fumble isn't overturned for a bullshite TD state wins that game.

The game was 25-13 until State added a garbage time TD in the end.

Alabama's secondary has also improved and has the NCAA leader in INT return yards, whose also ranked 13th in the NCAA with 6 INTs.

Oh you do? Why are they suddenly good enough to stop Alabama's rushing attack, but wasn't good enough to stop the other teams from running over your asses all season? State ranks 70th in rush defense this year, giving up under 170 a game.

You mean you couldn't see the glaring evidence that the ball cross the line from the replay? :rotflmao:

Prescott is twice the QB this year with half the weapons going against a better Alabama defense. Prescott is about to get mauled

The most important question for Prescott is not how improved he is, but how much protection that OL can give him.

Excluding garbage time scores Alabama's defense has allowed 14.7 PPG vs power 5 opponents. A number that's heavily skewed by the OM game in which the offense/st turned it over several times giving OM short fields. Predicting 28 points against this defense is questionable to put it nicely.

Our offense had no trouble putting up points on LSU, UGA or Wisconsin and State is either about the same or significantly worse than each of those teams defensively.

If State is going to win this game the defense will have to get it done, likely come up with a couple of turnovers, and win a 17-14 type game.

L5U folks had an 'excellent feeling' for two weeks.

Keep it up.
