Might be germans but I didn't see anything posted about it.
Georgia defensive lineman Trent Thompson has withdrawn from classes for the semester as a result of a “significant medical issue” and an overnight hospitalization this week.
A police report stated that authorities found Thompson with “glassy” eyes, “unsteady on his feet” and incoherent. The EMS was called, and Thompson was transported to a hospital where he was kept overnight and later released. Though he initially told police he had not taken any drugs or alcohol, Thompson later told police he had taken “two oxies.”

Hope he's ok and gets it together.

There was a reason we stopped recruiting him. I wonder if this is related.

Yeah, that he signed with Georgia.
Anyways, I hope he gets healthy.

He recently underwent multiple shoulder surgeries so if he did take "two oxies" they were likely prescribed for him. According to UGA's press release on the issue he tested negative for Oxycodone while at the hospital.

For the record, oxy didn't show up in his toxicology report

I assume he can transfer to AU.
We can keep him on the straight and narrow.

I wonder what drugs he was really on then?

Why did he tell the cop he took two oxies then? Something isn't adding up. If he had an adverse reaction to the prescribed drug, that's fine because people have them all the time, but why leave school?

IDK. He also told the cop that he couldn't remember what position he played on the football team.
It's possible that his mom just wants him at home for a bit after something like that.

I'm glad the Auburn guys are here to get to the bottom of this situation.

Kirby is used to supporting a drug culture. Hopefully this young man can get the help he needs, and move on to a team/coach that looks out for his best interest.

The entire sport supports painkiller use/abuse, if we're being honest.

For the record we never stopped recruiting him. We would've loved to have him. However, on his January 20th OV which was a big recruiting weekend for Auburn (Martez Ivey, Cece Jefferson, Cowart, and others were there IIRC) Trent was separated from the rest of the recruits because he was disinterested in being there and was eventually sent home.
