On ESPN just now, Stanford vs. UCLA, Stanford WR makes catch with arms wrapped around UCLA defender with ball behind the UCLA defender's back, while being interfered with. Announcers immediately cited Prothro, calling it "Prothroesque".

Phew, thank God.

I seriously thought this was going to be a thread about a Stanford WR compound fracturing his leg...

That was one of the best all around plays I've ever seen. Crazy. Amazing catch.

He showed up Prothro.

TD catch vs a top 25 conference opponent >>> first down vs Southern Miss

Better play too, reverse flea flicker

How? Same catch vs weaker competition and the Stanfors player was being interfered with

But This catch was off a jet sweep reverse WR pass. That's gotta give it bonus points.

Edited thread title to avoid that confusion. Thanks for pointing that out.

That's not a troll. Explain how Prothro's was better without being biased

Same. I cringed as I clicked hoping their wouldn't be a gif of some gruesome injury.

A gif of the catch is welcomed, however. Both.

You're always a fricking troll.

I didn't say it was better. As you just said, it was pretty much the same catch. From an athletic standpoint, there isn't anything which sets one apart from the other.
