Spurrier vs. Texas A&M over his entire career as a player and a coach: 0-1

Spurrier's coaching career is ever single bit as dead as Bear's. It's equally over.

Leslie and His Tigers are 4-0 against the HBC but good luck and God bless to him. We will miss him for sure. Hopefully he'll do some part time booth work on occasion.

The volunteer LB coach at my high school beat him twice in one year.

It was time, but you hate to see a great legend say goodbye to the game. I will always remember watching Florida rip 50-70 points a week and people get pissed off claiming he ran up the score and he shouldn't do that. So he would go out the next week and do it all over again. If the defense couldn't stop him tough that was their problem. One of the best cfb coaches of all time.

Pretty sure his last game against Bama while HC at Florida was an arse whipping we gave him in the 99' SEC Title game, the 2nd time Bama beat him in that season alone.

Mike Dubose beat him twice in one season.

And now the coward leaves midseason, lost a lot of respect for him.

Just glad we laid 50 on him between the hedges before he retired. Too bad we could not make it 60. Good riddance!

His retirement at this point in the season sounds like a health problem. I hope that's not the case. Certainly wouldn't call him a coward if that's the reason.

I agree with him. What puts him in the top echelon? The Fun N Gun was fun Saturday entertainment but what did SS accomplish? He won a shite-ton of SEC Championships when the SEC sucked.

In the 90's absolutely. Not after though. But he ruled the 90's.

...couldn't carry the HBC's jock. The most overrated coach in college football history.
