So it is almost gameday and it has been a long two week wait. I thought I would recap recent sporting events for each fan base since the last time either team played a game.
In Louisiana:
The Saints are back at .500 for the season and could *gasp* get to a respectable record. Drew Brees is showing he is still a top five QB in the league after torching the Giants secondary.
The Pelicans are off to a horrible start as they look to get over injuries and learning the new system. But with one of the top five players in the NBA in Anthony Davis, the Pelicans should be able to bounce back.
LSU fans are pumped for the start of basketball season for the Tigers with ESPN's #1 player Ben Simmons looking to play an exhibition game today.
The Gold & Purple World Series continues as LSU baseball fans get another look at Alex Lange, who is an early Golden Spikes nominee.
In total there has been 2 NFL games, 5 NBA games, 1 exhibition college basketball game, & 1 exhibition college baseball game. So it has been a long two weeks but there has been plenty to fill in the gap.
In Alabama:
Auburn lost to Ole Miss?
The basketball team waa picked to finish 13th (not bad out of 14 teams)
The baseball MIGHT win 40 gamea for the first time since 2010. Maybe might get out of regional play? Is that new stadium even ready yet or do you plan to play on the road all year again?

if you think we're not excited about Avery Johnson, you're clueless. He's brought energy, revamped the offense, and has a stellar recruiting class onte way led by Terrance Ferguson. We have an exhibition game tonight. Maybe if you're not so busy doing all those great things in the swamps of Louisiana, you can tune into a football game tomorrow night and watch a team from Louisiana lose to a team from Alabama.

Lange won't throw until Monday due to rain
You forgot the Fournette NCAA story breaks and LSU holds him out of the game
