1981: Alabama 28, Auburn 17
1982: Auburn 23, Alabama 22
1985: Alabama 25, Auburn 23
1989: Auburn 30, Alabama 20
1993: Auburn 22, Alabama 14
1997: Auburn 18, Alabama 17
2003: Auburn 28, Alabama 23

Any list that does not include 17-16 is not worth reading... Alabama undefeated, Auburn with one loss.. Auburn wins by scoring 17 points in the 4th qt. on a FQ and two blocked punts...

Any list without Mac to Maze is not valid list.

Any list that does not have 1985 at the top is bogus. JMHO.

mine too... no one was giving us any kind of shot... coming off the pain of 2001, it felt great.

This is probably more like the 1974 season setup for the game.

Starting our 3rd string tailback. Good times!

I'm confused by this:

quote:

1971 presents the most analogous situation to the 2010 matchup. Both teams entered the game undefeated (the only time in history the two played the Iron Bowl with perfect records), and were playing for a chance to face Nebraska in the national title game. The most-hyped Iron Bowl to date turned out to be a dud however, as the Crimson Tide defeated the Tigers soundly.

How is that game analogous to the 2010 Iron Bowl?

that game deserves and asterisk for Franchione tanking.

Talked to alot of the Bama players. There was a complete 180 from the before the LSU to the Auburn game.

But I will never forget the PLay action pass that Campbell set up...

It was a special game for me in that I took my 7 year old son there for his first away game. I remember him getting so upset because some guy in a truck was dragging a stuffed Aubie down the street on a rope.
