Barnett has had better production than garrett every season, but garrett always gets the praise, smh.

Based on hype, not production.

He may not ever sign a contract once someone tells him he will have to line up against La'el Collins again.

ASU's kicker has missed 2 kicks this year, both from 50+.

While hitting 7 from 50+, and set the NCAA record this year for FGs in a career.

I'm supportive of any Bama player and happy for Cam, but I'm having a hard time understanding all the love he gets with so many mistakes/mental errors.

It's because he wrecks shite. He's been a devastating run blocker and has actually excelled at pass pro, too. Has a lot of false starts, but that doesn't make him unworthy of the honor. He was an Outland Trophy finalist for a reason.

Most underrated player Ryan Anderson. All he did was have 16.5 tackles for loss 50 total tackles and wreck shite all year yet made no All-Star teams

Look I know Garrett is going to be selected very high in the 1st round of the draft. But the guy was hurt this year, and his production was crap relative to a lot of other deserving guys. 4.5 of his sacks were in one cupcake game. Barnett and even Key should be ahead of Garrett on any of these lists. Their production is way ahead of Garrett.

Fournette isn't going to be (shouldn't be if he is) on any of these All-America lists because he was hurt. Should have nothing to do with "potential," "projected draft position" or anything but production over the course of the season and the quality of the opponents you played.

I swear when the media looks at all American selections for OL, all they do is find the recruiting rankings from the previous four years and take their favorites.

It appears that way.

Cam Robinson shouldn't be on that list IMO.

Believe it or not the press usually does a better job than the coaches do with these. Coaches tend to look at wins and losses. Hell, Jay Barker was the QB on the coaches team in 94...ahead of Eric Zeier who blew his stats out of the water.

It's like the high school all county teams. I grew up in east Alabama and the coaches always voted Oxford high's QB all county whether he sucked or not because they would go 9-1 even though he only completed 46% for 550 yds and ran for another 350. There would be a 2500 yard passer with 15 TDS on another team that was 6-4 and he'd get a little honorable mention.
The Birmingham news would then do theirs and that Oxford QB couldn't be found.

The thing is that the NCAA recognizes the All-America teams selected by the AP, AFCA, FWAA, Sporting News, and the WCFF to determine consensus All-Americans.

If three of these organizations select a player to their first team, he automatically receives the "consensus" honor. If a player is named an All-American by all five organizations, he receives "unanimous All-American" recognition
