The following states do not have a participant in the Big Dance:
Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. I can not remember if that has ever happened in modern times. What is happening to Basketball in the South ?

Both UGA and Tech advanced to the second round of the NIT and both have 20 wins on the season

And uga has made postseason play each of the last 3 years. Not sure what the rest of you jokers are doing around the south but we're getting better at everything in jawja (or at least in Athens)

Of the top 100 basketball players, only 13 from SEC states.

The black kids, and their mamas, in the south love their football.

Playing in the NIT is like having a 6-6 football record and playing in a Bowl.

When did North BR become a sovereign entity? Might take a detour tomorrow to go get me a new passport stamp.

My bad, I wasn't looking at the play in games. Beyond the field of 64, the rest doesn't really count.

Uh yeah they do count. The first 4 is still part of the ncaa tourney. Southern won their conference tournament. Not saying they are a good team bc they're not but they would have been in even in the old format.

It's more than any of the other states mentioned were able to really do. LA had southern I guess but couldn't even get the premiere program in the state to go anywhere
