Bama fans,

I have a parking pass in South Ten Hoor Deck. Where is this lot located? Is it first come first serve for spaces or are they reserved? Also, is there room to setup a tailgate in this area?
Thanks

The entrance to South ten Hoor is on Capstone drive. If you're coming from the strip, turn left @ the first red light just past the stadium on University Blvd. If you get to the Quad, you've gone too far.

Thanks, do they have room to setup a tailgate near the parking spots?

I don't think so.

No, but that deck is literally like a 5 min walk to the Quad.

I'm pretty sure you can't have generators on the Quad. Elsewhere, I think you're good. If you set up in the right spot and have plenty of extension chord, there are electrical outlets on the Quad.

Thanks, what about other spots closer to where my parking pass is?

There are some good grassy areas around the parking deck that are alot less restrictive about generators, etc. Just park and take a quick stroll around the immediate area and pick a good spot. There will be others setting up there.

If you're on the Quad, you will not be allowed to use it. They monitor it pretty closely. Outside of the Quad, you should be ok.

I mean those parking lots will be full up. The strip is on one side, and on the other there's ten Hoor Hall, Morgan Hall and the Quad. Other than just setting up on the sidewalk or a random grassy corner, you are going to want to be on the Quad.

Thanks Capstone. Would it be a good idea to drop off some tents on Friday night at one of the grassy areas outside of the parking deck?

If you're not on the Quad, I don't think you will need to worry about setting anything up on Friday. If you go hereand go to satellite view, you can zoom in to the tenHoor parking area and see the areas around it that would be good for setting up. There is a nice pedestrian walkway b/w the 2 parking decks that alot of folks use, and also there is a good grassy area immediately south of the large surface lot behind the parking deck. You should be good to go with one of those areas.

You can try to set something up on Friday night, but a lot of people have their tents up on Friday morning. Best bet is to drive by Friday night and see whats open.

If you set up on the Quad, you don't need a generator. Electricity is provided.

Ten Hoor
Every time I see that name I get all warm and fuzzy. All of my favorite classes were in that building. I won the Marie ten Hoor award for best philosophical paper my senior year. I love that place.
