So? Then you put out a press release saying the President hoped to celebrate womens sports or achievement by women and move on with your day.

Dawn Staley never said that they wouldn't go because they don't like Trump.

Y'all don't know what was said. If folks are upset because their team wasn't invited to the White House after being unofficially asked if they wanted to go, and not giving a positive reply, then frick 'em!

Sounds like with all the protests and people not wanting to come Trump decided to say screw you guys. I won't invite you. He's a petty dude, but I don't blame him. Usually people can overlook policy differences to come together, but people can't seem to do that with Trump. They get highly irrational.

Yep. This sounds like a lot of butthurt because they didn't get to gloat on social media about turning down the offer like the other teams did.

Let's be real here. If anyone should be invited to the White House it is State. Vic's team accomplished a much greater feat.

Read my 1st post on the subject!
What is it about the word "if" that y'all don't understand? I'm all for 'em going IF they want to go, BUT if they don't, then just let it alone!

Yup yup. Im sure the Prez has better things to do. No one really cares, and one group ruined it for others.

Honestly I had no clue it was a long tradition of womens BB champs getting invited, and as UT fan I've had a few chances to realize it. Just a bunch of whine burgers being eaten up in here.

Y'all are assuming they would turn it down.

Dawn is not a petty person. I really think that they would accept the invitation.

Public appearances like this have been a fairly traditional duty of the President.

He's just preparing them for a life of being ignored in the WNBA.

It's harsh, but a good lesson.

Then they should be mad at the snowflakes who have disrespectfully declined the invitation already this year.
It's sad if they truly wanted to go
