Good thing we have ten more games then. We almost lost Vandy a few years back but still beat Clemson. I'm certainly not predicting a win yet, but it's at home so it's not out of the question

Clemson had major issues on defense a few years ago, no real big 3rd and short RB, and SC had an excellent defense. None of these things are true now, and we also have probably the best QB in Clemson history now.

nothing is out of the question. i think Clemson going to score a lot points this year though. I don't think SC is. Spurrier is a good coach on offense despite being rather unlikeable.

I think Watson is really good, but do you think he is better than Whitehurst?

I think Clemson fans may want to pump the breaks a little. Maybe not.

SC will have to improve a lot to win beat Clemson this year. UNC was the worst defense in ACC last year and SC didn't score much and the QB had like a 39% completion rate and probably most of those were shorter passes. They probably would have lost without that 55 yard rushing TD.

i think the whitehurst teams lost 3 or 4 games a year.

Watson beat SC on a torn ACL last year and he was running some as well. he has a lot of talent and we have our best group of RBs in a long time plus one of the best WR groups.

Boyd was better than Whitehurst. he doesn't get credit for it becaue our defense was bad. He broke a lot of Clemson and I believe ACC records at QB position. He also was our best 3rd and short RB. He never missed games due to injury like Connor Shaw .

I believe the Whitehurst teams had 3 or 4 losses, including a blowout lost to Texas Tech in a bowl.

you really think Clemson is going to struggle against Wofford?

I can see you saying this prior to the Lousville road game because that will determine where the team is.

I think our new OCs are going to be better than Morris. Look at how much better Stoudt was in the bowl game. 4 TDS and 300 plus yards passing

that UNC QB is overrated, he had a dud like that last near the end of the season against Miami.

No. You'll win handily. That really wasn't my point.

My point is Ya'll have no idea what your D will be this year after losing so much on the D-line/front 7. Making predictions about November without seeing your own product this year is folly.....

if hood had more carries unc might of won those int's in the endzone were killer and dude averaged 10 a carry

miami is just awful lol i dont think they've beaten anybody worth a shite since golden got there should be fired midway thru the yr after a few more losses to teams with inferior talent

clem has athletes on defense and Dabo said our secondary is the best he's seen in his 13 years at Clemson. I trust his opnions about WR and CB given he played WR and coached WR. We have a lockdown cornerback, Alexander.

Dabo has had a top 10 recruiting class for several years so it doesn't seem likely the defense will be that bad. Given our starters last year were so good, it is likely we had second string guys who were talented too and many of them played a lot of snaps.

people don't know that Vic Beasley was recruited to play another position, tight end I believe. If you have athletes, defense will be at least average, and they should score a lot of points.

Not saying Clemson won't be good, but has Dabo ever said anything negative about his team? He also said y'all have 10 OL that would play anywhere, even though that is probably a weakness of your team.

Clemson will be good and so will the secondary, but just because Dabo pumps it up really doesn't mean shite.

I don't think Dabo has ever overhyped the team. Dabo was probably talking about the OL this year because he landed some top recruits at that postion.

what coach is negative about the team though. He didn't say any other unit was best he had seen in 13 years. Just the secondary.

Greatest college QB of all time? hmmmmmm :)

Shaw was highly overrated, he played on teams with good defense and RBs, and he wasn't good on the road against good teams. He looked awful at LSU and FLorida couple years ago. Best I ever saw him play on the road was at Missouri but he only played the 4th quarter and was fresh. I don't think he ever played a game against Clemson at Clemson. Dylan Thompson played couple years ago.

He couldn't pass at all against Clemson a couple years ago. They had to go to QB off bench for wildcat throws, they had 2 of those that were huge for them, one was pass interference.
