What was his story? How did he end up transferring to UVA?
Guy has had a great season up there. KenPom has him 3rd in his National POY rankings right now.

I really wish we still had him. Of all the shitty players Horn recruited, this kid had skills.

Darrin Horn but if he as still with us, we would have a chance to seriously challenge UK this year

It was more Gill's fear of Frank Martin than it was Darin Horn.
Everything works-out for the best.
You gotta have players that want to play for you AND your coach.
Gill was neither of those.

This. The guy simply didn't wanna play for Frank. You gotta be strong minded, hustle your arse off, and put in lots of work on the defensive end. I don't think Gill wanted any part of this.

Recruited by Horn. Didn't want to play for Martin after Horn got fired. Can't really blame him.
Gill and Damontre Harris would have helped Martin in his first two years, but Frank has the ship righted now so it doesn't matter.
Their transfers just meant Calamari got to sleep easy at night for two extra years
