Something to remember about Jake Coker

Coming out of high school he was a lightly recruited, low end 3 star prospect with a big arm, but poor accuracy and decision making. In limited game action he has not shown anything different. The only reason anyone assumes he could be anything more is from a few quotes Jimbo Fisher made after the transfer. We all know, especially now, how big of a media blowhard Fisher is. The guy says a lot of idiotic shite. Him claiming Coker was the most talented QB of the Saban era was nothing more than Fisher promoting himself and his ability to develop QB's. If Coker started, Jimbo wanted the credit.
Coker's injury is an excellent opportunity for someone like Cornwell or Bateman to take this job. If Coker has not separated himself from the pack by now, I hope we go with a younger guy we can build the program around. We have plenty of arm talent on the team and should not be so fixated on Coker IMO.

You are full of it and don't know shite about your own QB. Search my old post and learn something.
Poor decision making. WTF did you hear that? His decision making was much better than AJ's was his senior year btw.

Cornwall has the most upside in my opinion and may be the best option

Just let it play out. This is Bama board material.

I understand that you used to watch him play in high school. Did he have that slow release back then too?

Is this some game where you take everything people tried to tell you last preseason and pass it off as your original thought?
I'll play. Stop tindering while fricked up.

I know it sounds eerily similar to what rival fans were saying last year. I naively assumed it was the lack of a Spring practice that kept Coker from beating Sims, but I am starting to think you guys were right. Any 5th year senior worth a crap should be dominating a bunch of freshmen in a QB competition, especially in a Saban offense that prefers experience.

You do realize just about everyone but Bama fans were saying this, right?

That and Lord Saban wanting him was enough for ya'll to go nuts with the hype train.

It was blatantly obvious Coker's hype was full-blown exaggeration after he couldn't beat out Simms, as much as I respect Blake. In hindsight Fisher was probably trolling the shite out of Saban, and the two had a good laugh about it over the phone.

Oh look, another QB expert. I think you should probably spend more time worrying about your own teams QB situation because as in the past it doesn't matter who starts for Bama we will take care of your tigers as usual. Roll Tide.

Question about Coker's injury: I've heard everything from minor injury w/Jake expected back soon to broken toe. So what tha hell is his injury???

its funny how the story changes when what you want to be true doesnt end up being true, then reality sets in.

But...but...but...
I thought the Great Lord Kiffin was the greatest developer of QBs ever.
What happened? Is Coker resistant to his wizardry?
