The Miami Heat's jet flies them around. I thought that was pretty cool. Sat in the GOAT's seat in Tupelo when they came to Oxford a few days ago.

Helps put into perspective the level of program they have versus ours.

This seems highly questionable NCAA wise

If Kentucky pays for the flight, it's considered a charter.

Highly doubt any sort of violation occurs. Though I guess, one could hope.

Yeah, it just seems like if its available to them it needs to be available to everyone, and that availability is a finite thing and only a few programs can afford to exploit the use of the Heat brand for recruiting purposes. Just seems like the type of thing the NCAA would throw a shite fit about. They obviously let Kentucky use it though so more power to them

Majority of schools have some booster with a private plane that they loan out to the school for whatever they may need.

Not really that unusual. If Kentucky pays for the fuel and labor, it doesn't have to be available to the rest of the world.

That's true. It just seems like when you add the Heat logo on the side it adds a whole other element compared to a regular charter plane. I'm not saying its wrong as I don't try to understand the NCAA anymore, it just seems like the kind of thing they would not allow.

That's an amazing recruiting tool though

Hell, all the stupid rules the NCAA has, I'm sure they could find some rule they are violating, if they wanted. Kind of like if a cop wants to pull a person, just follow for a few minutes, and they'll find some reason to pull you over.

Do they do that regularly? I know they did to help with some weather stuff (something about flight plans or the like). I just thought it was a one-off deal.

Why did Kobe have a seat on the Heat plane?
