Notice how he clutches the ball firmly as he is going in to score instead of waving it around?

Good, basic player.

He should win the Heisman.

Either a clever joke or an embarrassing screw up.

I'm betting on the latter.

I think he won the Heisman on Saturday against State.

Wow, you guys really have gone into full dickriding mode. Kind of sad. I pulled for you too...

Also, I should mention that even though that UT-Bama streak is at 9, you'll NEVER see a UT fan dickride the gumps. Ever.

I don't give a rat's arse about Bama, bud. They are cheating scum and I will pull for them to get whacked in the play off.

But I do appreciate a good, hard runner who doesn't showboat. Our #7 is the same.

He cemented himself as the front runner. He will either win it or lose it in Atlanta, same as Ingram. Henry can run for 300 against auburn, if he lays and egg and Bama loses to Florida coupled with a good performance from Elliot, then Henry won't win the Heisman. How people don't understand how this works by now is beyond me. This isn't a season award. September and October get you in the race. Early November keeps you in it, and late November/ early December wins it. Welcome to our knee jerk society

I was extremely frustrated with Lane early in the season for not running Henry more. Now it makes sense. He had to try to develop other parts of the offense, and he had to have a rested Henry for the stretch run. Now with Drake out until the playoffs (if we get in), we will need to be smart with him the rest of the way.

As far as the OP goes, I agree with you one hundred percent. Score a TD, hand the ball to the ref and leave the field.

Poor Charleston Southern. I doubt the Buccaneers see many players like Henry in the Big South Conference.
Dude is a beast.

No, not really and I say that as a Bama fan who's been a huge fan of Henry since day 1.

He's got a shot, and if the vote was today he might well win it but the vote isn't today.

The QB for OU had a Johnny Football-esque moment in prime time on their last TD against Baylor, so he caught everyone's eye. Now he's got TCU & Okie State left to play. TCU just plain sucks and Okie State's pass defense is around 80th in the nation. He should put up huge numbers.

Elliot at tOSU has Maryland, Sparty, Michigan, and almost certainly Iowa left. He's got a chance to put up big numbers in three high profile games against big name opponents.

Henry's got Charleston Southern and Auburn and with Drake's injury he's the only back with meaningful reps left on the roster. Saban's going to sit him just as soon as he can so the odds are that he's not going to put of the same kind of numbers that got him the clubhouse lead. His last chance to shine will be in the SECCG, but by that time most of the hay will already be in the barn.

If I had to pick one, I'd say it will be the Oklahoma QB.
