This is not the time to get excited. I love the fact that we are sleeping in. One of the hardest things to do when you are preparing for a NC is not to peak too early. The second hardest (apparently if you are Bama) is not to disrespect an underdog. Hopefully we learned our lesson last year. A team that makes it this far is good enough to beat you if you don't have your "A" game. BUT, the B1G ain't beating us 2 years in a row.

I think losing the playoff game last year hurt. And losing to Ole Miss again this season might have been the best thing to happen to the team as a whole, because it caused them to refocus and realize that if they lost one more game, Alabama was out. It would be over. So, in some ways, I think they've derived a lot of motivation from both of those losses. We will see, though. In the end, even if we don't win, the fact that we are in the playoffs again for a second time, is an accomplishment. We're also the only team that is making a consecutive playoff appearance, Oregon, FSU and Ohio State are nowhere to be seen in the top 4 this year. So, win or lose, we still made a little history. But obviously I'm really hungry for a national title.
