You really don't know who? He would be a really good hire. Very unlike all these pipe dream names

That would be a really interesting choice, and maybe a great one.

Interesting...one thing to note though, the guy who really got them rolling is coaching at Wyoming. They have a fantastic strength program that is a huge factor in their player development. That strength coach wont leave North Dakota though

Klieman was the DC under the former coach. Touted with building from th defense out thus making them a power. My LSU connects think he can be the next Jim Tressell.

Look for an interview to happen immediately. This was the open weekend for NDSU... theres a time crunch involved, obviously.

Chris Klieman inherited a well built machine built by Craig Bohl. He's done a great job in his 2 seasons as coach but I think he lacks the experience for big time football. If you want the guy who built the program, he's currently coaching Wyoming, where he has gone 8-20. But it's Wyoming.

Also, Chris Klieman is a defensive coach so he was not involved in Carson Wentz' development.

No its more because he has roots where he is and likes it there. He had the chance to go to Wyoming with the last coach and didnt. I know a coach at Wyoming who told me this. I know the program is solid because I saw them present at a national strength coaches conference and it was easily the best player development program ive ever seen.

The problem is that they are recruiting corn fed northern, midwestern, white country boys. Coaching and recruiting those boys is a completely different ballgame than the SEC.

If I was an LSU fan, id be perfectly happy with the ND State coach if Herman or Jimbo turned the job down.

*Another great off the grid candidate right now is Willie Taggert at USF. He will end up at a big time program one day.
