If Oregon beats beats them? All I keep hearing is Mett is greatest thing since white bread, Then Lee has the experience and will be better than JJ anyway, but if oregon does put a beating on them will we be hearing that the reason they lost was because of this bar fight...curious.

I'm an LSU fan. If another LSU fan uses this as an excuse, it will be bullshite.

It obviously doesn't help the situation, but it should not be an excuse for a loss. I think we're all just wanting a decision to be made ASAP no matter what it is.

You know you will hear that excuse. Every fanbase does it--not just LSU.

Did we use Katrina and Rita as an excuse when you beat us in 05?

Think for a second....

Kinda appropriate for this post considering the opponent.

I have been pretty confident in a W until just recently. I wouldn't use it as an excuse though. The players did it to themselves and I think the coaches are handling it all wrong.

I feel for LSU. All reports were saying JJ had turned the corner (I know, they say that every year), but with the new OC... I was wanting to see what LSU's O was going to do this year. It's hard to replace a Senior QB. Pick 6 Lee is just too wishy-washy to bring'em to the promised land.

in all honesty, i was at that game. And have a VERY good friend that is a diehard lsu fan..he did use that as an excuse lol. And just for the record, that was the worst i have ever been treated by a fanbase attending a game. Been back a couple times and didn't run into a problem. I dont know if it was lack of AC for a couple weeks, excessive drinking, or what but it was pretty rough to say the least.

Pick 6 Lee actually looked promising in his little bit of action last year. He actually won two games for us, which can't be said for JJ.

Perhaps. But Les brought him in several times last year when a last minute drive was needed to win a game. He also sealed the victory against Bama. Maybe Lee has turned the corner too? I'll have to wait and see.

I'm not giving up hope of a W

And excuses about players who should have been playing are just a waste anyway - the teams that were on the field settle the game... wishing different people played or could have played don't change the outcome

Anyway, Here's hoping Lee plays well cause it seems likely JJ will be out for at least the start of the season and perhaps the whole year

Hopefully either Lee takes off or Mett eventually replaces him and LSU gets a jump start on seeing what he can do

Lee's main problem was sloppy footwork. If people think Krags could come in and totally fix JJ, then why not think it's possible he could improve Lee's footwork?
