So why is Miles a trickster when he pulls a fake kick

And Saban is a mastermind? I don't get it. UF fans and some others would not give this up for for at least a week. The second Bama did it, it seemed like an exuberant voice of Florida fans called the Saban fake the greatest play in college football history. Don't really get the double standard in the case of trick plays. I'm all for them.

I can go back and find them...give me a bit for me to get some responses to the double standard. If they work then I don't see a problem. Just seems some coaches take more flak than others.

Not so much anymore. Saban actually pulls stunts like this more regularly than Miles

Twice in a season and it works is different then once every conference game and there are some awkward highlights on failures.

Because Miles does them all the time, even when it doesn't make good sense. Saban does it rarely and it's very calculated and well timed when he does. That's the difference.

I started reading comprehension at an early age. I can't help you in that category. If it's examples you want then give me a bit. This board blew up when Saban ran that play calling it a mastermind decision. When Miles did it to Florida, several posters blew up saying he was a trickster that only won big games in that type of way.

Not really. The one he pulled off against UF worked because he hadn't called one in forever.

Read the code between the op's lines .... this is just more LSU fan paranoia, whining and colossal butt-hurt about being "disrespected" and more evidence of a universal anti-LSU conspiracy. That is what the op is really saying. In other words... "Why is something about Alabama great and with LSU it is a laughing stock...?"

And I say.. op, STFU. No one thinks anything Miles does is the greatest... except perhaps the fake field goal against Alabama a few years ago that failed, or the 4th and one plunge that went no where leading to the screen-six win. Miles is a college football joke and the fans that try to apologize for that jokester are provincial and "special."

Does anybody else find it funny that the coach that is considered the most conservative coach in the SEC is also considered the one that will gamble the most?

Truth is the Miles as a trickster is overblown. He has done it in big spots that have worked a lot more than they didn't, but he does not do it very often. The fact that he isn't scared to do it in big nationally televised games is why the national perception of him is that way.
