This seems like it has been going on for forever. Assuming they continue to discover new findings, are we likely to even see an outcome/verdict this year? How close are they really are?

The COI will meet with them on Sept 11.

This has been verified? If so, didn't know that. How long after that does it become public?

Likely early-mid November.

Meeting starts 9/11 and may go 4 or 5 days.

Punishment should come out a week or 2 after.

According to OM fans, the NCAA is on life support and will simply accept the self imposed sanctions----if they know what's good for them.

6 to 8 weeks is the expected timeline for the COI to rule.

I go back and forth on whether I enjoy this drama- sure it's been fun mainly but then it got old then it picked up some steam again with the HDN lawsuit, etc. now it's back to a little mundane so either give me more juice or give me Ole Miss sanctions.

What is everyone's honest opinion of them choosing 9/11 to have the meeting? I think they could have decided on a different day...I mean, come on.

Has to be 60 days after conclusion of the meeting. Meeting will last 3-4 days. Sanctions will be handed down before November 15th.

If a 2 year bowl ban is a part of the sanctions, look for Ole Miss to appeal or file a law suit.

It could be another year before we know definitively what the ultimate sanctions will be in this case.

Ole Miss may appeal anything over their self-imposed penalties just to give their new coach and staff a better option in their first recruiting class.

I think OM will get 25 Schollies over 4 years and a two year bowl ban. They'll have other stuff too like vacating wins and probation for 5 years. I was told that this was what some on inside were pushing for (as I have stated before).

However, under new penalty matrix, they could have all of their schollies taken over 4 years if all Level 1s stick.

Daily Ole Miss sanctions thread - Check.

In all seriousness, it will be late November, probably a few days before the Mississippi State game.

Yes it has. Where you been homie? Would also like the location in Kentucky and the chairperson's names? This was all leaked out through the university's website last week. You know? Details that weren't supposed to be leaked? Especially on the university's website. Add this to the looooong list of shitbthat the NacaA is pissed about.

Their current recruiting class is ranked 90th by 24/7 The gig is up. Nothing will help them now. They have finally ran out of stupid kids and greedy parents.

Prolly. I could see 30 over 4 years. (ETA - to correct typo of 40 years down to 4 years )

Oh I know. I live amongst them.

Although I will say the majority are embarrassed and want this thing to just be over.

I'm assuming you are referring to "Ole Miss insiders" here as I doubt the NCAA is sharing their strategies with anyone. In that case you are going by a delusional fan who still thinks OM has bargaining power here. The NCAA will do what they want to OM with absolutely no fear of reprisal on the part of OM or anyone else. And whatever punishment they get they will deserve more so OM will lose the ability to say the NCAA is being unfair.
