Every year at this time they come out of the woodwork studying the SEC bowl games and who will lose and we'll finish under .500 as a conference. Because, after all, we are the most overrated conference on the planet.

This is the time of year I pull for every conference team (except Ole Miss) to put another fork in their posts. I might have pulled for Ole Miss in the past but I will never admit it.

Amen! I'm hoping that a lackluster season for the conference will be followed by a strong bowl showing...it often works that way...at least it does in regard to covering the line.

I feel the exact same way, except the only team I will never cheer for is Missouri. In anything. Ever. Maybe that feeling will change someday, but it will likely be decades from now.

Most years our mid to lower-tier teams play teams that finished several slots above them in their own conf. Our #6 team plays their #3 team, etc.

The talking heads never discuss this.

I always pull for the conference to do well.

It's an excellent question on which to gauge the IQ of the responder.

We prefer non-incestual fans, so thanks.

frick everyone outside of MSU. Haven't pulled for any of y'all all season, and it won't change now.

Seems this talk always happens because we send some of our worst teams to play other conferences best during the season. Or at least mid pack. See Auburn Clemson. OLE Miss FL. ST.

But when we send our best the other teams are always overrated in the media. See Bama USC or LSU Oregon in 2011. But when they dominate their conference they are somehow a different team.
