1. Nick Saban, Alabama ($6.9 million)
Alabama's eighth-year coach technically made $7.1 million in 2014, but roughly $200,000 came under the heading of "other pay." Saban, 63, is 86-17 in eight seasons at Alabama, with three SEC championships and three national titles
2. Kevin Sumlin, Texas A&M ($5 million)
The 50-year-old Sumlin is under contract through the 2019 season, but continues to fend off NFL rumors despite a $5 million buyout. Sumlin is 28-11 in three seasons with the Aggies, including bowl victories each year.
3. Les Miles, LSU ($4.3 million)
"The Hat" appears to be in Baton Rouge to stay after Jim Harbaugh was hired at Michigan, Miles' alma mater. The 61-year-old Miles, under contract through 2019, is 103-29 in 10 seasons at LSU, including a national title in 2007 and SEC championships in 2007 and 2011
4. Hugh Freeze, Ole Miss ($4.3 million)
Freeze signed a massive extension in December, which includes a clause to bump his salary to $5 million if the Rebels reach the SEC championship game. The 45-year-old Freeze is 24-15 in three seasons at Ole Miss.
5. Gus Malzahn, Auburn ($4.1 million)
A built-in raise from the contract extension Malzahn signed prior to the 2014 season bumps him up from the $3.8 million he made last year. Malzahn, 49, is 20-7 in two seasons at Auburn, including the 2013 SEC title.
6. Bret Bielema, Arkansas ($4 million)
The head Hog is one of four SEC coaches who will earn exactly $4 million this fall, thanks to an extension through 2020 he signed earlier this month. Bielema, 45, is 10-15 in two years at Arkansas, but went 7-6 in 2014.
7. Dan Mullen, Mississippi State ($4 million)
Mullen joined the $4 million club just Thursday, jumping from 13th in the SEC in salary to a tie for sixth. Mullen, 42, is 46-31 in six years at Mississippi State, including 10-3 in 2014.

Freeze is robbing Ole Miss.

Freeze robbing Ole Miss?? He is only making 300k more than a coach who went winless in SEC his first year and won only 2 his second.

Auburn is arguably getting the best deal.

Sumlin is 50 and Gus is 49? I thought both were in their lower 40's.
