UGA is better than Auburn until proven otherwise

I haven't watched you guys much. How has your line played since Clemson? Is it improving?

They look to be improving. In truth, this week is when we'll know one way or another concerning the OL.

To the OP: the rest of the SEC is shite with UGA being the possible exception and of course Bama. Auburn has one of those “close calls” with a cupcake almost annually yet they always win and by November it is forgotten. Until proven otherwise it’s an UGA vs Auburn race for runner up.

They didn't blow a 34 point 4th quarter lead

or see Nicholls State tie their game in the 4th

or have to come from behind to beat ULL.

Any more questions?

Know how I know you didn't watch that game? Not once watching that game was any Auburn fan worried about losing it. We just were placing bets on who would fumble next.

Auburn outplayed Mercer, absolutely. But that ball control thing -- I think y'all had an interception too? -- is a huge red flag against any team not as mediocre as Mercer. Teams like Bama and UGA will absolutely make you pay for that.

For what it's worth, I think Auburn is capable of playing very tough. They're not an elite team, but even the loss to Clemson gave us a good look at what they can do. But I think games like the aforementioned Bama and UGA could get really ugly for Auburn if they slip even a little. Bama especially will hammer them hard at any sign of weakness, and Auburn has some very real weaknesses, especially on offense.

Yeah this is a bit ridiculous.

Auburn will find a way to drop another 1-2 games before the Bama game.

Even if they are the 2nd or 3rd best team in the SEC, they have enough glaring flaws that it's hard to see them winning out till Bama.

Pretty sure that came from something on ESPN. FPI, maybe? There were a couple threads about it last week. Auburn fans might have run with it, but they can't be blamed for originating it. Most of the ones I've seen here have been relatively low-key in their expectations.

Well Auburn looks like they have a very good defense and the offense looks serviceable except for perhaps against elite defenses like Clemson (elite defenses make most offenses look bad by the way). That in the SEC this year is going to win games. It's not like the rest of the teams on their schedule up until Bama look better with the exception of maybe Georgia.

I don't think it is that likely that they go undefeated between now and Alabama but it's not that far fetched and I expect them to be 8-3 going into Bama at worst.

Our next 5 opponents:

Mississippi State

Ole Miss

LSU

Arky

TAMU

Don't know about 10-1, but 8-1 sure looks like a definite possibility.

No we didn't

Their offense was nonexistent against the one real team they've played.

You could also say we almost beat a top 5 team on the road. See how easy it is frame things to fit your agenda?

Yet all it took was a blowout win against the worst Missouri team in 30 years to have people clamoring about being 10-1 going into the Bama game.

Who's going to beat us? The only reason anyone is predicting us being 10-1 going into the Iron Bowl is because our schedule sucks. Now I'm not predicting that will be our record but it's definitely a possibility.

Thanks. I was curious. Clemson has a great DL.
