Honestly I don't buy that.

Well, that's your problem then.

Arrest reports and announcements being readily available for anyone in the country to read, anytime they want, make the problem seem bigger than it used to be.

Incidents this big would have been reported in 1980. Finding out Joe blow got popped for dope when in years past I wouldn't have is not what is turning me off from the sport.

He's definitely a candidate to play for Saban at Domestic Violence U
i like all this lsu deflection. the 'domestic violence' at bama has consisted of a crazy chick who made it up and was herself arrested for false accusations, and a guy who allegedly damaged a phone during an argument, where he called the police himself to diffuse the situation and the charges were dropped because he should have never been arrested in the first place. whereas this guy is facing a felony and apparently had to be maced because he choke slammed his fiance.

Sure, in the local paper and news. You honestly think a Juco transfer, backup olinemen, would have garnered national media attention?

Not to mention domestic violence wasn't the hot button issue back then that it is right now.

Domestic violence is just one type of charge. I honestly believe serious crimes are way up in football as opposed to 20 years ago and availability of the information is a cop out to me.

But in all fairness to him, I heard that she refused to tap out, so...

The athletes are no more violent than they were in the 80s, 90s, & 00s. The crimes just aren't swept under the rug anymore and we're force fed the stories by social media.

Look I get what you're saying, I'm tired of reading these stories every month too. People are tired of hearing about it just like they got tired of hearing about steroids in the MLB. Every time an SEC player gets arrested for the smallest thing we see it on every social media outlet there is, and when they get arrested for something like the domestoc violence or any other violent crime we hear it 10x more.

I can't imagine a situation in which the woman I commit to spending the rest of my life with will feel the need to pepper spray me.

He claims she pulled a knife on him before that too. So, he was either out of control and she was truly scared, or they were both out of control and both should be charged.

Either way it sounds like he's done.

That was a link to the Junction boys. No doubt I have no proof I'm right, but that certainly doesn't prove anything either.

But for the sake of argument let's say the only difference between now and 20 years ago is the availability of news. That does nothing to prevent my growing disdain with the sport.

That critique really hurts coming from a guy who is almost as much of a coward as the multiple women beaters on the LSU football team
