This has nothing to do with NCAA punishment... It's the punishment handed down by Mississippi state which people are questioning...

Thanks for the clarification cause the OP didn't put much effort in his haste to get something going. MSU still judges the punishment they hand out with what the NCAA will be able to. Just like any school. 1 game shows they did something, but other than opponents fans they aren't going to have to worry.
Bama doesn't have to do anything if they don't want to to those 2 players arrested with weed and a stolen gun. They just have to really hope they don't pee bong water when tested or sent to jail during the season.

You really aren't comprehending the wrath of the media when violence on women is the subject.

Miss St has to accept players like that. I still only see 5-6 wins this upcoming season.

However, 1,000 bucks = a year and a half if you are Will Redmond.
Also, one offense is prior to college, the other involved a current athlete. Apples and oranges and all.

You really aren't comprehending that it wasn't the university's place to punish him at all. We have a criminal justice system, one we already pay way too much money for.

Then why are they sitting him out for a game and making him go to counseling? Are you saying that you're pissed at MSU for punishing Simmons?
If that is your stance...then why are you bringing up Stringfellow?

Stringfellow sat an entire year after having to move across the country.
...but yeah...that's totally less than what Simmons got.

Not at OM he didn't. And I don't think the schools should have punished either, that's the duty of our criminal justice system.
