Basically Butch Jones with a different/better hairdo. I don't trust our Admin one bit. The upside is there's a stockpile of talent but we really need this recruiting class hauled in.
Also, even if I trusted our Admin there are about four total coaches in CFB worth a shite right now. And half of them are only considered elite because they rode an elite QB to success.
IOW, I don't know. And I fricking hate the situation we're in.

UT can go get them an elite coach, but will probably get someone like the Memphis coach because for some reason they like to go cheap for coaches. That may be fine as long as he can recruit and make sound (common sense) decisions. The latter Butch cannot do.

Name an elite coach willing to leave his job right now. Just one. I'll wait while you decide whether Urban or Saban is the most likely.
We can get a good coach but CFB fans in general are ignoring the fact that there's not much coaching talent in CFB right now.

The man is sandpaper on a baby's arse. Even if he was interested no way UT hires him. Even worse, he despises recruiting and has no interest in coming South.
Maybe enough money gets him but he's shown me nothing that would justify the price. He might be the best available but he's got no rings. That's not elite to me.
I'd still take him, fwiw, but he's a pipe dream.
