When the news officially broke yesterday were you smiling from ear to ear? Are you beside yourself knowing your rival is pretty much finished for years to come? Don't lie and be honest.

Why would they lie about being happy? Of course they are. Imagine your feelings if this happened to Alabama. That's how they feel

If you had been telling something for years, only to be mocked, how happy would you be at validation?

Personally, I take no joy in seeing a man lose his job. It's a pitiful situation.

Some fans are playing the victim, acting as if CHF mistreated them personally. Rebel fans openly and actively supported a guy who was using hookers to win football games, just because he beat Bama. That will never not be funny

My happiness is not directly related to rivals but only what is going on in my life. i'm try not to concern myself with petty issues like a rival school's misdeeds. I already know what goes on there and had an idea that the darkside would reveal itself in this process. There have been rumors floating for quite sometime of his infidelity so it isn't really that surprising. I'm fairly certain more will come out including using escorts as recruiting tools.

I'm happy about their fall into the abyss - but I've known for awhile that was coming.

Right now I'm more happy that Freeze has been exposed as the hypocrite he is. I despise those who wear their religion on their sleeve and he made his living on that practice.

Our rival is crashing and burning in front of the entire nation. Why would we have to lie about our excitement?

Im sure that what im going to explain is true for a lot of us. We all have friends and even family who are Ole Miss fans. And many of us have been trying to get through to them for years now and explain that they are being lied to and that Freeze is not the man they believe him to be. There is a mix of feeling happy, relieved, and just feeling sorry for those people. Freeze was a sack of trash, anyone outside of blind loyalty to a team and school could see right through the self-righteous act. And i genuinely feel sorry for those who willfully closed their eyes and even lie to themselves because they identify with a team and school because of a game.

Missed the initial news break because I had been watching the Cowboys Dak documentary and was about to go for a run. So yes, it's a really good time to be a State fan. I immediately picked up the phone and called my dad.

That being said, I feel really really awful for Freeze's family. What a shite bag on so many different levels.

His wife and kds benefitted greatly from his position and his dirty money. He would send his daughters out to the twittersphere to attack his detractors. His wife was awkward.

Mixed feelings. Glad to see a sleezy charlatan get his due, esp one associated with Ole Miss.

But since I'm a Christian, I hate that Freeze has lengthened an already quite lengthy list of people who have talked a mighty loud public talk and got caught not walking the walk in their private lives. He's now just one more hypocrite for the world to point at when looking for a reason to scoff at Christians.

Freeze struck me as a snake oil salesman from the get go, and I told an OM friend in 2013 that Freeze would someday make Christians looked bad when he eventually got caught cheating recruiting. But he really upped it from what I'd envisioned then.

Never have liked mixing religion with sports. Pray for safety for those playing, maybe that your Christian friend or family member will honor God with his or her effort, but that's it.

MSU already established themselves as the flagship school in mississippi a while ago. These past few years have been the pinnacle of success for ole miss yet state has been better in basically every sport. Not to mention the fact that MSU is the biggest school in the state and is now widely regarded as superior academically

No, I was actually shocked. I figured the NCAA mess would have done him in, not this. The guy resigned under something personal going on with him and I'm not happy or smiling thinking about what his wife and kids are going through.

A lot of State fans went through this with the last days of Jackie so there has been some enjoyment watching everything with the NCAA stuff unfold with the roles reversed. It's been fun watching the fans go through the stages of grief.

Absolutely. Why would any State fan not get enjoyment out of seeing a fanbase that refers to us as classless morons and rednecks run into the ground by CHF- a classless moron and redneck?

I'm sad for the state of Mississippi and embarrassed he's a Mississippi native. A lot of people out west or in the northeast lump us together, so we'll indirectly be mentioned. Thank goodness for Dak building our brand and ole miss destroying theirs!

I'm a State fan but it's honestly hard for me to be happy about this. I'd be happy if he had resigned over most anything, but I can't really celebrate this knowing what his family must be going through.
