Why ask? It's already Bama's story and they're sticking to it.

Yes, obviously..

But regardless, everyone has different turf styles/lushness/lengths. It's not like there is a set standard. Take it up with the SEC offices, I'm sure they can get some kind of standard in the works to appease Bama fans.

WGAF. Bama beat that arse, has won 6 of the last 8 in the IB, Henry is the Heisman favorite, and will play against a weak arse UF in the SECCG to secure #25. All is well

It does seem funny to me that the major agricultural school in the state, the place where people send turf samples for analysis, the turfgrass experts mind you, have a slick as owlshit field all of a sudden. There has been plenty of rain in recent weeks and the field was watered by the groundskeepers on Thursday. So it was rock hard because it was dried out? Nope.

I await an explanation of how this can be so.

Did you see wet uniforms? Could it not have been too dry? I didn't see mud, I saw loose grass.

The turf is overhauled between games. It's on sand. The turf is installed by a contractor that also does NFL fields. I believe they're out of Florida. It's not as if AU professors roll out a crew of mexicans and oversea a turf install.

Seriously, never noticed the hairline before. He must do that on purpose.

Like how people shaved one side of their head for a while. Is this the new thing?

Love how people are still trying to argue it wasn't a wet field when the players that didn't read this forum and ONLY played on said field said it was obviously wet.

GFY Auburn.

They weren't the only ones wondering what the hell was going on with that field. I don't believe Auburn wet it down or anything, but I watched only about 1/3rd of the game and still came away wondering why the players were having trouble getting traction. Off-season should be devoted to bringing in some groundskeepers and figuring out how to fix the problem. Nobody wants to watch football on a slippery field, especially not one that has the natural grass God intended football to be played on.

No but something is up with Yalls field the footing was horrible for everyone. Also y'all need to invest in something different to protect the sideline. That was a nasty spill the ref took. Could have been any player running at the sideline there
