So adding Clemson and FSU to the SEC was not a bad idea after all...

looking back.

The SEC is fricking clueless.

We have the money...but our leadership is obsolete.

I thought that we were the best conference.

Sooner or later two power 5 conferences will merge. "The South & Atlantic Confrence" has a nice ring to it.

You have to take into account what their record would be if they were indeed in the SEC. Despite their talent, do you think either of them could go through the SEC gauntlet like Alabama? Clemson lost to Pittsburgh and barely escaped about 4 ACC teams.

FSU may be a different case, but I don't think your point is necessarily all that valid.

But you would lose money if you added Clemson.

Yes they're good in football. But their following isn't that large, and most of it is in the state of SC... a small market the SEC already has with the Gamecocks.

If you add Clemson the split between 15 teams would be decreased, not increased. Therefore, it won't happen.

No thanks. When will you finally change your team affiliation?

Both would be fine.

South Carolina was a bad choice.

What have they done?

We've done more in basketball and baseball than AU has since we joined in 1992.

But if adding a smaller school with fewer alum makes financial sense to you...

Way too big. We'd never play nearly all of the teams. We could add two more if the conference would be willing to go to 10 conference games.

Why bring AU into this?

Clemson beat the SEC this year by a combined score of 110 to 51 this season

ACC is a better all around league

Florida and South Carolina are too scared of FSU and Clemson to have them in the conference

You're full of it. Clemson has a much bigger following than South Carolina. Social Media stats back this up

Yeah. That's why your username is such and you live on SEC boards.

Yep. AAC is clearrrrrrrly better. Your behavior proves as much.

Doubt it happens but if the SEC were to go 16 teams, then it would be a NC and VA team that would be added. TV drives the $$$ these days.
I think it is possible that we end up with four 16 team leagues at some point in the future.
As far as which league is better, the ACC was the best this year but not by much and really all 5 were probably not separated by very much overall in football ??

He's probably talking about the Facebook poll that came out a while ago that had favorite teams based on each state... out of like 100 pollsters total for the whole country.

We're a bigger school, more alum, more in state alum from other schools support us (see Charleston) etc

Speaking of Tillman...

Did you know the rule that the Senate used to shut down Warren the other day was created because two Senators from SC had a brawl on the Senate floor.. including Pitchfork Ben Tillman. (Yes, the same one the Tater fan is named after)

The more you know.
