It's about damn time. Maybe he'll do the same for football one day.

"November and December isn't exhibition season," Slive said at the SEC’s annual business meetings in Destin.

Agree or disagree?

We use .22s and if in a real bad mood 30-06s on gophers around here. Do you know why? Because they are pests!!!!!!!!

Basketball schedules are one thing.

Don't mess with Football when you guys A) haven't done anything in the last 1000 years or so and B) don't play in a real conference.

We can't help that our SOS went way down when FL and LSU had to play the little 10 champion two years in the row for the crystal collections.

Now go back to the OT or gaming board.

Last year the SEC only had 2 teams with a Top 50 SOS Tenn at # 2 and Ole Miss at 25. That's pitiful.

A big 11 fan calling out the SEC on SOS in football. Your whole conference is joke execpt ohio state and we all saw what happens when you put a real team on the field with them. They get shite stomped. Now go crawl back in your hole and don't come over again.

Agree. There can't be as much an excuse for not scheduling tougher in basketball as there is in football.

Our basketball schedule is weak out of conference. Billy likes it that way for some reason. It's OK if don't need the competition (see two recent trophies). I just think your young guys need it and want it. And it has to get them ready for the SEC grind.

First off, I never said anything about SEC vs Big10 scheduling. So stop being such a pssy.

I think all conferences need to start scheduling tougher, including the Big10. Concerning football, I think all BCS schools should schedule at least 2 of their 4 non-conf games against other BCS schools and the other 2 can be against schools from weaker D-I conferences. Games against FCS competition should end.

I'm sure AD's will use economics as an excuse for this not to happen, and that's valid to a degree. But a man can dream.

Basketball scheduling, however, there is no excuse for the easy schedules.

Wasn't that your smartazz way of saying the SEC doesn't play anyone?

Ah crap, why am I arguing with a rodent from the BIG 10.

Even more pitiful:

quote:

According to RPI expert Jerry Palm, 55.3 percent of the SEC’s nonconference wins this past season (68-of-123) came against teams with an RPI of 201 or worse. That included a 54-0 record against teams with an RPI of 251 or worse.

And before you fggts start the smack about Big10, I have no idea what the same numbers are for the Big10 and I don't care. This isn't a thread mocking the SEC, but ALL major conferences. Although I think the ACC and BigEast have pretty decent scheduling (without doing any actual research on this).

That's funny from the ear to ear smiling rodent wearing a cheerleader's sweater.

Does that field rat have a name? Perhaps Sergio...

Is that gopher giving me the bird in your sig pic?

Just in case:

If you didn't intend this to be an SEC flame then you sure fooled me with your first post.

Whatever, I agree with you about basketball. Football is another story and we'll have to disagree. I would like to put USC, PSU and ND on our schedule every now and then for fun. Now I would like to play MN too.

SEC, SEC, SEC...

Take it easy Gopher. There are no hurt feelings here.

I thought you were doing a hit and run flame on football scheduling.

Even if that was your intent, I fell for it.

Unfortunately this will never happen. (The fans would love for this to happen) The bottom line is the dollar. Smaller schools have to play BCS conferences as this is their only real payday.
