WTF?

After months and months of bitching, you mean LSU's own coach didn't VOTE for a fricking change?

Playing Tennessee is advantageous to Alabama over playing Florida. There's nothing wrong with admitting that.

Bama in their last 8 games vs:

Tennessee 7-1
Florida 6-2

It's not that much a difference really.

Dude, seriously, what did you do?

Don't think LSU isn't aware of the sacrifice it makes. It's just worth it in the end to the people who count. The ones that count the money.

OH GOD, WHAT DID YOU DO?

Let me be clear. I don't want to keep our annual game with UT because it has been an easy game over the last few years, because that hasn't been the case historically. I want to keep it because it's a traditional game that has deep roots that the two schools love to play. The same can be said for UGA/AU. Now OM/Vandy & MSU/UK probably value their games for another reason.

The most recent games are fairly relevant, wouldn't you say?

hehe oops. yea that 6-1-1 really prevents that from happening

That's all well and good, like I said. But you can admit that Florida has unquestionably been the superior program over the last two decades and that they will be the better team in more years than not over the next two decades. There's nothing wrong with being honest about that.

Now that the SEC West is the dominate division, there are three perennial powers in the West going forward (Bama, TAM, and LSU). Auburn, Ole Miss, Arkansas and Miss St. are now competing for 2nd. tier status.

Both LSU and Auburn find themselves at a severe competitive disadvantage with the permanent opponent rule.

The last twenty years when one program has been far superior to the other as well as their prospects and foundational advantages moving forward are fairly relevant, wouldn't you say?

Tennessee has the biggest disadvantage. Yet, no peeps from them about it.

Ten game record.. Bama vs

Tenn 7-3
Fla 6-4

Not a distinct advantage.

If you wish to go back to the 90's, then Bama would have a gripe about playing Tenn, while Fla had a patsy, in Lsu. Yet no Bama, or Tenn fan every cared or whined about it.

I'm not arguing that. UF is definitely the top team in the east, and will be for the foreseeable future. But UT won't be terrible for ever either, and can easily get back to being the 2nd best football program in the east. It's not like UK is our cross-divisional game.

Auburn ain't whined a bit though. They have to play Bama/LSU/aTm/UGA every year. And their current record against LSU & UGA over the last 10 fricking years is 3-7! Not a one of them are whining and bitching about it.

+1

The Aubs haven't made a frickin peep either. They are stuck playing LSU/Bama/aTm/UGA every year.

Care to cite Florida's record against Tennessee over the last few decades and pretend that they are somehow equal programs in the present day and foreseeable future?
