I'm no fan of Saban's & feel that there is merit to the fact that everytime he opens his mouth, his "process" is the hidden agenda behind what he has to say, but I believe him when he says he's for a 9 game schedule. He's been consistent for mths now bout how he feels. And he's the reason I feel the SEC will come to play 9 games sooner than later. But that whole line bout LSU being at fault somehow for being the only major school in the state is totally ridiculous. But typical of bama trolls in general. LSU has no control over how many other schools are in the state. The SEC has complete control over its own schedule.

Stop already...you're deflecting by using a circular argument !
The point of the thread is : the most "equitable" manner for the SEC to formulate a consistently FAIR/EQUAL schedule ! Why is it sooo difficult for you {many bama fans}, to grasp ?

My question was to the person who stated:

I just cannot support anything that is not on an equal playing field.

Not, about the rest of the thread. I've repeatedly posted that was what my question was about. How hard is that for you to grasp?

If you're admitting that you would rather your favorite team have a game that means something to you and would rather the conference protect that than the overall integrity of the schedule, I respect your honesty.

Dang straight I do. If you try and take our rivalry games, I'll cut you.

They keep pointing the finger in another direction and hope people forget the original argument. Kinda like a politican.

According to Spurrier, 13 of 14 coaches feel things are fair the way they are.

this is beyond stupid... tens of millions of dollars and these guys can't come up with a better, more consistent plan?

Give em a break dude. It's Bama grads making the schedule. You can't expect much better than stupid. It's not a conspiracy, it's incompetence. Where do you think Obama got the idea?

The 6-1-1 format has a perfect solution!

The 6 divisional games count for divisiional titles.

The 1 rotating non-divisional game counts for divisional titles.

The 1 permanent non-divisional game does not count for divisional titles.

Everybody interested in preserving traditional rivals for tradition's sake should be happy; however, those wanting to preserve a competitive advantage for divisional titles will find fault with this plan.

You're an imbecile.

How about I re-word it to say, " I just cannot support anything that I feel is not on an equal playing field"?

There's a reason you're left alone dying in this thread.

Then that would be more accurate, as it gives you an out, to interpret fair, as being what benefits Lsu more.

I don't give a crap if we play 8 or 9 conference games. And I'm not saying to get rid of rivalry games. But it sure as hell looks suspicious when the schedules were altered to take USCe off of Bama's schedule and replace them with Kentucky and take Kentucky off LSU's schedule and replace them with UGA. I'd like to see the entire SEC pre expansion schedule and compare it to the bridge schedules to compare the changes.

1992 pre expansion, or 2012 pre expansion?

1970-1991 Bama played Fla 10 times. 1992 to present, Bama has played Fla 13 times. Fla has been much better the past 20 yrs.

1970-1991 Bama played Tenn every year. 1992 to present, Bama has played Tenn every year. Tenn has been much better the past 20 yrs.

Lsu has played Fla every year, save for 3 yrs, since 1953.

Let me rephrase Mr Politician. I would like to see the entire SEC 2013 pre expansion projected schedule, don't try and say they didn't know who each team was projected to play, and compare it to the bridge schedule and see what opponents changes for each of the pre expansion teams.

Like I said, I respect your honesty. If everyone admitted that they'd rather what's best for their individual favorite team than the conference, that would be a good thing. Playing Tennessee is advantageous to Alabama over playing Florida. There's nothing wrong with admitting that.
