Mike Evans for 279 yards receiving against the Bama secondary in '13. Even though we lost that game by a touchdown, the dude was flat out dominant that day.

My dad took me to Kyle Field to watch us play Pitt. Larry Fitzgerald worked the A&M defense like a rented mule that day. It was impressive.

Mine go back a way and when I think of these, I think of great performances that created unexpected outcomes to games. For instance, Archie Manning's performance v. Tennessee in 1969 (OM won 38-0) and then the following year, Willie Heidelburg for Southern Miss ran under, around and through Ole Miss defense for a 30-14 win that shocked the college football universe. There was an article in the paper yesterday about Willie. Seems like back then, OM stadium had a berm as a north endzone rather than bleachers. That is where I sat for that one.

football: the honey badger vs uga in the Georgia Dome for the SEC championship in '11. he turned the game around and completely crushed the dawgs special teams.

basketball: Charles Barkley against LSU in Baton Rouge back in the day. LSU had a very good team and was soundly beating Auburn when Barkley took over the game and did everything. i'll never forget him take a rebound, dribble the full court and dunk the ball while getting a fouled. this was late in the game and was amazing. auburn won. I never saw a big man move like he did in that game. for a period of about 7 or 8 minutes, he handled the ball and shot like a guard that was "on" while rebounding like a center. sorry, can't remember the year. i'm not much of a roundball fan but consider myself very lucky to have witnessed pistol pete, barkley, chris Jackson and the shaq play.

Not a single game but I attended a lot of games in Matt Forte's TU career. He literally was the only player on his team worth a frick. He put up phenomenal numbers with no O line and entire defenses keying in on him.

Good one, remember watching him catch a TD with 3 guys right on top of him in the end zone and just going "Whelp"

210 yards rushing as a quarterback. Yes. He completely dominated y'all. Like I said the score didn't show it.

Cam Newton threw a TD, rushed for a TD, and caught a TD against Ole Miss in 2010.

Then when he couldn't throw it against LSU's secondary, he just took off for 200+ yards rushing.

So, so, so happy that dude only played 1 year

I wasn't at the McCluster debacle, but I have to agree - with Kiffie senior as DC - we couldn't stop him. But I was at the matching UT-OM game when Chuck Webb set our single-game rushing record of 294 yards in 1989.

I mention both of them because they did the exact same thing every drive. Almost no differentiating the 2

Same here. Archie came strolling into Athens with a broken arm in a cast. I was the guy yelling 'Archie who' all the way to the stadium. Archie kicked the teams arse that day. Evan Williams kicked mine.

The most dominant player I saw was a DE named Art Still for Kentucky around 1976 or 77. Ole Vince tried to block him with a tackle at first. Then he added a TE on a double team, which didn't work either. Then he added a fullback in the scheme and even a triple team didn't help much. I think they beat UGA 35 to zip or something like that. In my mind, we still owe Kentucky for that whoopin.

Odd how most of the great players you remember are from opposing teams.
