CRAP! I reread and see you mean between the two!

DOH!

My guess is LSU depending on how you rate the year. Tennessee will win the Eats. LSU will come in second in the West. (My opinion) But LSU has the better team and will have the better year.

The team that loses the more competitive game with Bama.

I think that I answered this same question a couple of days ago.

There are rustled LSU fans here with threads like this every day. I'm bored with em.

Tennessee.

Easier schedule
Much better QB play.

Both will have top 3 rushing attacks similar to last season and both will field top 25 Defenses.

Tennessee went to the final possession of each game against the only 2 common opponents on the schedule last year (Alabama and Arkansas). LSU got their arse busted by both.

Well Alabama.

Anyone who thinks UT is overrated is saying so because they are in the national title hunt more so because of their division and schedule than their overal talent. If they were in the West they would be picked 3rd at best and no one would assume they were overrated.

LSU is viewed that way because people are giving them the benefit of the doubt simply based on returning starters, but nothing has changed as far as their one problem last year being QB play. That, and like UT, their schedule. For LSU to do what a lot of national reporters think, they have to have significantly better QB play and for the people who think SEC champion favorite is overrated, it's because they don't see significant improvement at QB coming. Though the media picked Bama to win the SEC and Bama is the Vegas favorite so idk how they could be overrated as it pertains to being a top 3 team in the SEC.

Liking teams based on their schedule more so than head to head team talent is what makes people scream "overrated", when in actuallity it's just more fun to pick someone other than Bama, especially when they have an easier path.

Oh for the love of Pete. Everybody and their second cousin is saying LSU could have a great season if they get good QB play so that translates to "LSU is overrated?"

If the Bayou Bengals go out and get pimp slapped by Wisconsin then you'll be hearing a steady chorus of how overrated LSU is. Since you more then likely pound sand in them I wouldn't worry too much.

Touche. I stand corrected. I tried to bury that one far away.

That fake fg in your match up was nice.

Post-Grier Florida...common opponent in name only.

ETA...Florida record with Grier 6-0. Florida record post-Grier 4-4 (including the impressive OT win over Florida Atlantic and 2 point win over Vandy).

True, I forgot that we had to play UF when they actually had a pulse.

Alabama and Arkansas came post Moore and Gordon.

LSU with Moore and/or Gordon, 7-0.
LSU without Moore and/or Gordon, 2-3.

Neither of those guys were "the" team.

Grier was the University of Florida for the most part last year. He got some help from Calloway and the D at times, but he put that team on his back.

Moore and Gordon didn't have the type of impact that Grier did. Evidenced by how their season played out once he was suspended.

ETA: What I'm trying get to say is that UF looked like hammered dog shite for the remainder of the season once Grier went out

That doesn't make any sense. Once Grier was out, UF went 4-4. Once Moore and Gordon were out, LSU went 2-3.

Ask Leonard Fournette how important those players were to the team.

I know what you're trying to say, UT was better than LSU last season as can be seen in the games between LSU and UT vs Alabama and Arkansas. All I'm saying is that you can't really make a good argument for it, so you may as well just quit it.

I'm not trying to argue that LSU was any better than UT, just that this "Oh well, UT had to play UF, blah, blah, blah, while LSU got to play Alabama and Arkansas, blah, blah, blah..." is bullshite.

We'll see you in Atlanta.

Neither of those guys were on the juice either. Grier was legit but it sucks to get caught cheating.

I agree with the quarterback statement, but their schedule does have a stretch consisting of:

Sept 10 - Virginia Tech
Sept 17 - Ohio
Sept 24 - Florida
Oct 1 - @ Georgia
Oct 8 - @ A&M
Oct 15 - Alabama

Except for Ohio, that's going to be a tough schedule to com unscathed.
