Signs that your days are numbered as a SEC Head Coach

1. Your athletic department has to issue a statement denying rumors that you have stepped down. And fans are pissed that it's not true.
2. The Dad of the 4-star QB on your bench is bitching about playing time and threatening transfer. At Kentucky. Where you give 2nd string snaps to freshman QB Jalen Whitlow, but then think it's a good idea to play Morgan "Herp Derp" Newton who has been taking snaps as a H-back in the same amount of time for a full 3 quarters instead.
3. University police is no longer covering for your players on campus.
4. Western Kentucky is talking shite about your team for the 2nd year in a row and reminding you that you're now the third best football team in the state.
Yes, I'm mad. But Go Cats either way.

While I won't lie and say I don't like basketball, it's not too much to ask for some 6 win seasons and consistent bowl eligibility with the occasional potential for more then that.

In all fairness it should be noted that UK is starting or getting a lot of snaps right now from frosh/sophs....that only means improvement in the near future. I think Phillips will be retained as HC as long as he can avoid any off the field issues (this is why UK doesnt compete for SEC title, you needs some arrests and thugs on team).

Think you are wrong as Lexington is one of the most beautiful areas and campuses in the conference. I think Coach Bryant left as he had the original case of butthurt

We've regressed even when we had experience on the squad (see last season and even the season before that). He completely mismanaged Randall Cobb towards the end of his career at UK. Almost criminally. Players have failed to develop in the last couple years, or worse, regressed. This isn't a Rich Brooks situation where he was inheriting a program on probation and with significant scholarship reductions.
