Sid is my son and is a die hard Tiger fan. Has been since birth. Even though we live in birmingham he bleeds purple and gold!,
He is home and we are all hoping for a miracle. He is on hospice care now but chooses to live life as he can day-by-day! We all watched the game this past Saturday as we have every other one. Whether in the hospital or at home, he will not miss the Tigers when on TV!!!
His prognosis is extremely poor, and probably has days to a couple of weeks. He really hopes to be around to watch the LSU/Bama game. Would really love to go if he is up to it!, the kid is s fighter and cherishes every day!! Has a firm understanding of where he will go when he leaves this earth. Has a peace about him that can only be God-given!!
We really appreciate the prayers and support for Sid!!! He loves the times he has gotten to speak with Coach Miles! I can tell you that Coach Miles and his wife are phenomenal people! They have forever my utmost respect! Obviously, my wife did not post the entire calls. All I can say is that Coach Miles is the type of guy I would love for my kids to be coached by! I can see why he is a players coach.
Please keep Sid in your prayers

Seems from the thread other schools are joining in on support. Thought you guys might be interested and give well wishes to the family.

Hang tough Sid, Geaux Sid, I hope you get to enjoy the Tigers and Bama. I pray he can be at the game and be given the royal treatment.

I'm here trying to decide where I will eat and watch the game when I travel to Manhattan in a couple of weeks, while Sid and his family is praying and wondering if Sid will even get the chance to see another LSU game ever.

Puts a lot into perspective. Prayers to Sid and his family.

Here I was mad because I didn't get enough work done today.

It's easy to forget that life is finite and one day we will all be gone. Better to learn early that every day is precious.

God I really hope he makes it.

The type of people like that one lady Bama fan mentioned in a thread earlier today. In other words terrible people.

This story is absolutely heart breaking. I couldn't even begin to imagine being his age and just knowing and accepting, that you will die in a matter of days and there is nothing you can do about it. I feel for his parents. That's the worst pain in the world. God bless them and all their loved ones.

That actually would be one of the most epic gestures in the history of sports. Won't happen, but an epic thought.

Prayers for Sid and his family.

The downvotes may be accidental by people on phones - I've accidentally hit a downvote with my thumb when scrolling. I can't imagine anyone would downvote a story like this.

Please God let this boy see at least one more LSU game.

If you can make it a win for his Tigers, that'd be swell too ( ) but let him experience the joy of seeing his team play again.
