25 years ago u say, that would be 1990. Was that Ga Tech's yr? First gulf war?

I wonder how many 2016 recruits will go back that far in deciding which Defensive Backfield will get their service.

Why not go back 100 years or just 10. Or was 25 the right number to support your claim that LSU is not DBU. Its actually the ohio state buckeyes. wow who wouldve known?

Top three rounds Alabama, LSU, and Miami have the same number (10) since 2000. Ohio State and Texas have 9 during that period.

Yeah, it's funny I took the top 3 rounds since 2000 and distributed credit to 4 other teams as well. These are the rounds where the players make the most money coming out. I guess it's funny cause UF didn't make the cut.

But Ohio State has had more drafted and one more 1st rd pick than LSU. Miami has more 1st rd picks than all but less total drafted.

Since 2000

OSU
19 total
5 1st rd pick
9 top 3 rounds

LSU
17 total
4 1st rd picks
10 top 3 rounds

Alabama
16 total
5 1st rd picks
10 top 3 rounds

Miami
15 total
8 1st rd picks
10 top 3 rounds

True enough. I wasn't touting anything. But if you want to look at trends, only LSU has managed to have 3 DBs drafted in consecutive years in recent history (2012 & 2013).

Could be. IMO, 1 year is an aberration or outlier. 2 years straight removes it from that category statistically.

Arizona Cardinals star Patrick Peterson is arguably the best cornerback in the NFL today

Just thought I'd leave this here.

No, Peterson isn't a top 5 CB much less the best. Haden, Grimes, Revis, Sherman, Harris Jr., are all better. Didn't Julio burn him for like 150+ yds too?

What's recent history? Only 2 of those were 1st rounders. LSU did have a 1st round pick in 3 consecutive years, 11, 12, 13.

Bama has also had a 1st rounder taken in 3 consecutive years (2012, 13, 14), but with 2 1st rounders in 2012 for a total of 4 1st round picks in 3 consecutive years.

Nah. I think I'll keep it. This is an SEC board. Implication understood.

I didn't write it. The author of the list that all you Bama fans are drooling over did.
